Background Edit

Mannheim is a swirling gas giant, plagued by lightning storms and regular strikes from solar flares. There are multiple orbital stations that have been long abandoned, constructed by ancient hands. These stations have been confirmed to contain Vaults containing plunder and knowledge belonging to the Kaede Mack Conglomerate, but their purpose is unknown.

Using Mannheim as a setting in Inquisitor Edit

The surface of Mannheim is completely inhospitable due to being primarily gaseous. It is, however, orbited by several different abandoned space stations, collapsed in on themselves from neglect.

At the beginning of every turn, there is a 20% chance (or your discretion) of a solar flare striking the planet below, causing ripples of electromagnetic energy to pulse over the station, causing every electrical and mechanical object to temporarily short out. Power weapons become ordinary weapons, guns mysteriously jam, grenades delay their explosions (or characters think they are duds!) and energy fields short out. When the turn is over and the solar flare has dissipated, everything returns to normal, as if nothing had happened…
