The western edge of the Al-Gheri sub-sector extends to the fringes of the Halo Stars and a lawless region known as The Wilderwest where the Astronomican is fleeting and Imperial rule is practically non-existent. Before this transition lies Far Carthax, which stretches upwards from the southern border of the sector to its far northern reaches like a narrow band. This large astrographic area is not well-traversed however, as favourable warp currents are seldom found. It is theorised that as many as fifteen systems lie uncharted within its borders. The charted worlds of Far Carthax include the feudal world, Gallant, and the Dead World, Kaidros II.
